Construction of a modular day ophthalmological operating room

Mons / 2016

Conscious of the needs of the population in terms of care, the university hospital center Ambroise Paré wished to develop the montois ophthalmology center.

This will be achieved by the construction of two operating rooms attached to the day hospital and by welcoming new practitioners who will strengthen the teams in place.

As part of this project, special attention was paid to sustainable development:

In order to limit the need for cooling the premises, passive solar protection is provided on all facades exposed to the sun.

In public sector, the choice of the fittings adapted to the needs avoids waste and helps to compensate for the negligence of users while guaranteeing them a comfort of use

For public sanitary, a push button timed tap with automatic flow stop is described.

The lighting: It is planned to install low-energy lighting fixtures with installed capacity not exceeding 3W/m2 per 100 LUX in rooms for hospital use.

Presence detectors make it possible to optimize the operation of the lighting system, by timer associated with them in the passage rooms (changing room, sanitary)

Thermostatic valves: As part of the project, it is planned to place thermostatic valves on the radiators adapted to the type of use of the premises.

All HVAC equipment is programmable and remotely configurable via the adaptation of the existing GTC installation of the site
