Transformation of old Palate printing works into communal buildings and accommodation

The building consists of 2 wings surrounding a fully walled garden.

A major renovation was essential in order to adapt the new assignment to the current requirements of insulation, comfort and safety.

The project combines an administrative center (C.P.A.S., services) with a party room and five public accommodations.

A common hall accessible from the square, serves the different levels and staircase participating in the spatial quality of the whole of. Natural light enters the heart of the project.

The functional complementarity allows a cogeneration unit to heat all the premises and accommodation as well as the existing communal house.

The main construction features of the office extension are as follows:

  • The Ground Floor has reception areas, exhibition hall, offices, reserve, a bar, a waiting room, ticket offices, of sanitary and a kitchen.
  • The first floor has offices, technical rooms and archives.
  • The second floor has offices, a refectory, reserve, a kitchen, a boardroom, a hall and the sanitary.

Our mission mechanical and electrical consisted of:

  • The study of the heating system, including the cogeneration system,
  • The study of the ventilation system and the air conditioning system,
  • Sanitary study limited to landfills and water supplies to stopcocks,
  • The study of electricity, including lighting, fire and gas detections and access control system,
  • The study of the elevator.

Our mission of stability consisted in the realization of the plans of formwork and reinforcement
