The core business of the group is divided into two divisions:

• High-end rail component manufacturing - wheels, axles for high-speed applications, locomotive, passenger trains, trams and subways
• Manufacture of customized forgings and moldings for various applications such as energy production, oil and gas, offshore platforms, cement plants, industrial plants, Iron and steel production facilities or shipbuilding. Lucchini RS also produces a wide variety of steel tools grades for plastic molding, die casting and extrusion.

The work consisted in:

• Studies of foundations, roads and various underground networks for the slag yard,
• The study of metallic structures, cladding and slag yard cover
