Intercommunal “Battle of Waterloo”

Waterloo/ 2016

The Panorama is a large circular building that houses the remarkable panoramic canvas created in 1912 by Louis Dumoulin, a famous painter staging the Battle of Waterloo.

Its spectacular dimensions - 110 meters in circumference over 12 meters in height - and its exceptional sound system allow a total immersion in the heart of the battle. You will be surrounded by combat scenes, saber sounds, cavalry charges and cannon fire.

This panorama is a remarkable historical heritage, as it is one of the few still in place today.

The impressive panoramic canvas depicting the Battle of Waterloo is currently undergoing a restoration and reorganization project.

Restorations underway are the restoration of façade masonry, roofing, inspection of the frame and glass roofs.
