Construction of the new head office of Ores

Gosselies / 2019

The project consisted in the construction of a new Ores head office with 550 employees on the Aeropol site in Gosselies. From the beginning of the project, we wanted to build a concept that integrates architecture, techniques and sustainable development. In this spirit, our project is at the equilibrium point of a common reflection conducted by our entire team of engineers and architects. Architecture puts itself at the service of sustainable development to find an original expression. The themes of natural light, network and energy nourished our conceptual approach to achieve a simple and aerial project that bears the values of Ores. Natural light: the morphology of the building is built on the priority given to natural light, the first of free energies. This optimal use of natural light is accompanied by glare control. Mobile horizontal hand blinds with electric control are arranged on the south side. Side façades are equipped with vertical sunshades. The cold and warm ground via a geothermal installation:Use of ground as a thermal backup (hot and cold) by a combination of heat pumps and geotermal probes. Solar energy: compensation of residual consumption by 1100m2 of photovoltaic solar collectors. The network concept is at the heart of ORES' activity, which operates, maintains and develops networks. He is also very present in the functioning of society: Interactivity between internal services and multiple customer relationships.
